Our new baby is here!!! He was born May 19th, 2009 and he is absolutely the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. We had planned on having him born at Covenant Birthing Center with our midwife Lisa Byrd for a water birth, but my body did not cooperate with me. My water broke on Sunday night the 17th and my body never went into active labor so we had to go to Palmetto Health Richland to have him. We had a wonderful nurse Brandy who did everything that she could for Jeff and I to have the birth that we had hoped for. The birth of our son did not go exactly how we had planned it, but he was born healthy and beautiful and at the end of the day that is all that you can ask for. We named our baby angel James Clark Cowherd. When he was born he weighed 7 lbs 10.6 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is now almost 7 weeks old weighing in at 10 lbs and almost 23 inches long. He is definitely growing too fast. He is our blessing and we adore him.

He is so precious. I miss seeing you at Initially Yours. When will you be back? If you come downtown for a visit, please let me know so I can stop by and meet your beautiful son.
